Can anyone tell me when those french Film Office Standard 8 sound films were produced? I spent the last couple of days getting this Eumig going. Its the first time I have ever screened a Std 8mm sound film [Cool]

I read in Movie Maker Dec 1976, Bill Davison's Bootlace Cinema a question he was asked?...which projector does he use for reviewing all those package films....his answer was as Quote... "The Eumig 810 HQS and that it gives great picture and sound, is very reliable and, most important of all, is kind to film! Of the vast amount of film that has passed through it. I can honestly say it has not scratched a single frame."

Well after that rave review I thought mmmmm that it was about time to get one of the four Eumig projectors I have been given over the years back up and running...so I did....here is the video of the projector Bill Davison was talking about.

I tried it through 4 different countries UK, USA, Chile & Afghanistan all the same, then I tried through New Zealand, which also had the warning message strangely.

I assume it's the film being shown which is copyright, not the projector.
Grahame Newnham had problems with many films which he tried to put on YouTube.

I checked this morning, and although I could still watch it was blocked everywhere else.

Anyway folks I have now removed it from you-tube, and put it on Vimeo as is with no changes, hopefully it will stay, that would be [Cool]

I can't answer the Film Office question but nice video. I have one of these projectors that I only run standard 8mm sound on. It is a very nice projector. I see Tweety was taking a nap while you were working! [Smile]

I see that your 810D LUX HQS is the same as mine, with the usual focus knob. I was upset when mine, bought from abroad, turned up with the same focus knob.
I had previously seen a photo of this model with no focus knob, the new zoom lens having two rings, the other for focus.
You can clearly see this shown in the copy of the ad in your film.
Has anybody with a LUX model got one without the normal focus knob?

Thats interesting Maurice I dont think I have ever seen one myself, but now you mention it I will keep an eye out...I wonder what lens they use?

This is usual Instruction for those models. I notice they all say the same thing regarding the focus knob.

Mechanically very similar to the S700 series but a whole lot better in appearance. When changing the gates, you need to move the red spot on the inching knob at the rear to the 12:00 position. This prevents any possible damage to the claw.
