OK, another question for my ELMO 1200HD ...

The optical sound ... is not sounding. here is what i do know.

a. The lamp is OK, not burned out.
b. The lense is properly mounted and working.
c. When switching it over to optical, there is static, but it switches over, but the optical sound is barely audible, except at the highest volume level on that track, (always turn down the right track as there is no optical on that track and just causes extra hissing).

So, what the heck is going on? A weakening or almost dead tranistor/resistor in the back of the projector or what?

I am really regretting getting this ELMO!!! [Mad]

OSI, Clean the photo diode and it could also be the rear of the optical sound lens? That very little pin hole could be clogged by film oxide! Both items give you sound! So check it out! Leon.

OHHH, I hadn't thought of that, I've just moved the lense about, I'll try that!
