Very nice. I see it gives a date of 1982.

That poor kid looks genuinely terrified by Jaws!!

The flash-flood and Jaws encounter are still part of the tram tour. Animal Actors show is still running. The rest has been updated or discarded. Galactica is long gone (it was very cheezy), Avalanche tunnel was later rethemed to match with the release of the movie "Volcano" (ie - repainted in red!) before closing and being replaced by a trip through the Mummy's Tomb (there's also another Mummy attraction on site). Collapsing bridge is gone. Parting of water is still there, used as an intro to the King Kong show.

Thanks everyone [Smile]

Prior to putting it on you-tube I did a search and could not find any previous up-load. So I thought it would be nice to share it around and give folk that had gone on the "Universal Tour" back then, a chance to re-live old memories. I notice the "Orca" was still there, so not sure what year the studio scrapped the boat

Although it says 1982 on the film, I was wondering if the film was actually shot a lot earlier?

The sound track was 1970’s for sure and Battlestar Galactica was ‘78-79 so I’d guess late 70’s. That is a really cool film you have there... thanks for sharing. [Smile]

The 'flash flood' was used on the film Earthquake with a motorbike coming down.

Question, Is this the same as the castle films release? I know they put out something like this!

Fantastic, Graham. Thanks for posting.

I lived one mile from the studio gates for 12 years on Camarillo Street. I worked for a while on the lot at Amblin writing up shooting schedules for the great man himself. My old stomping ground. Fun days!

It's ironic that this couldn't be released by Universal 8 as they had packed up by 1982! It's bad luck that it was released just before low fade stocks took over. Perhaps it was also sold on video?
