Full episodes never made it to the format, but I was wondering recently whether trailers for the following TV to Big Screen adaptations were ever released. I'd love to put together a programme for a classic comedy night.

Dad's Army
Are You Being Served?
The Likely Lads
Up Pompei
Steptoe and Son
Porridge

Or others of that ilk?

I believe there is an episode (s) of Dad’s Army on S8...

Up Pompei and Porridge had extracts and/or cut downs but I'm not aware of the trailers being released on Super 8

The 1980 Rising Damp S8 Optical sound feature film contains many of the TV shows good bits revamped for the film.

Probably my favorite TV spin off feature.

Though the mentioned Porridge 400 from Walton is pretty good too.

Best Mark.

I have the very first episode of Dad's Army (Man Hour) on standard 8.

I once had a 200' Walton reel of clips from the Benny Hill shows.

All good tips – I think I'll have to make the 400ft Porridge a priority!

There was at least one episode of "The Two Ronnies" on super 8 optical sound, as I have "The Picnic", and it still has pretty good color. A funny bit of "Britcom"!
