Shipping from the Netherlands is expensive. Why not look at the auctions on ebaY? There are so many on auction right now.

Akhsay, the good one will be those 400' released by Columbia (in generic Batman box). There is also 200' length but it will highly edited. These are Batman episodes with live action. The other Batman is cartoon version released by Techno Films. This will be 200`.

I beleive what Hans`offers are the live actions ones. Normaly Hans will charge his film at OK prices. Last time he asked Euro 15 for three reelers (around $20) something that is usually sold at around $25.

This Batman episodes can usually sell at around $10-$15 each, so if you get around EUR 5 from him you can use the balance to compensate high shipping from the Netherland.

You will get the benefit if you buy them all episoded he has (currently he has 5 episodes). But unfortunately, to date he is still busy and has also not returned to me for the price of films I asked for.

Good luck.

Hello Austin,as Winbert rightly says check under "Films for sale"
from Hans and you'll find at least five episodes of your series.
The quality of Hans stuff is excellent and he's also one of the nicest
people to deal with, and you'll find his prices are very reasonable.

Columbia released both their Batman serials in super 8mm complete. I have only seen the 2nd serial "Batman and Robin" which features the "Wizard" as the villain. The picture and sound quality was very good but I have heard reports that the first "Batman" with J Carrol Naish as a Japanese vilain is less good. The first serial was also released in a series of six 200's which I believe are silent. These are very common on eBay. The complete serials do turn up but less frequently, at least here in the UK.
Some animated tv episodes were also released.

Austin, the first serial (15 chapter 400' sound) print quality is good but varies from reel to reel as some of them are printed pretty dark. The 6-200'ers are silent and condensed but the print quality is excellent on them all.

Good luck tracking them down.

Good Day Austin,

We have the 15 chapter serial from 1949. All reels are in good condition, original boxes with remixed sound mono tracks. If you are interested in purchasing it please drop me an email. How are things in Kansas these days? I am originally from Overland Park.

Kind Regards,

Lance Alspaugh

Austin. Try Classic Home Cinema as they did have quite a few in stock when last visited.
