Hey folks, I just listed this on ebay ...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/320980489231?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Please note that I am selling this for friend, hence the high price, as he wouldn't allow for any lower, but it is a nice Merchant films print of this title, with a trailer for "Desire" and the Popeye cartoon "Customers wanted", as well as being on those lovely aluminum 1200ft reels.

Osi, I received an email from Fred Willders offering several films with King Kong was one of them. The King Kong contains the same subject, i.e trailer for "Desire" and the Popeye cartoon "Customers wanted".

Is this his?

If so, the initial price is quite a discount compared to his asking price US$325.

Yep, it's Fred, and he's real.

This is a test case and if the auction goes well, then we may do more sales for him. I get free cartoons from him for the sales, no cash, but he has a slew of rare cartoons, so as far as I'm concerned, I like the arrangement, but I do wish that he would accpet a lower starting bid, but the fact that he's willing to go down this much shows that he is flexible.

I can vouch for the fact that all of his films are in inpeccable condition. I have bought a few from him myself and have been well pleased.

Well that's good to know...I'll have to look at his lists with a less critical eye.

Laksmi, why not simply rent the DVD and watch MJY?
Then you can decide if you like it or not.
That way you save yourself the cost of a print.

Hi Laksmi. I think you'll be pleasantly suprised if viewing MJY for
the first time. It's a great film, with better stop motion than Kong
but the violence is toned a bit.I agree, the old ape is a tough act
to follow, but Joe Young is sure to be a firm favourite with you.
This is as you probably know was Harryhausen's chance to work
with his mentor O'Brien and together with Pete Peterson turn in
a very impressive piece of stop motion animation, plus it still
has Robert Armstrong. Can't fail to entertain.
