Never seen spares of this particular item sadly Alessandro.
It's not something that ever likely goes wrong or would commonly require repairing????

Hi Andrew, a friend of mine bought a Beaulieu 708 stereo, that the previous owner has drilled to shove a fan.
he would like to return it to its original state. [Smile]

Ah the perils of the owner upgrade! [Confused] [Confused]
What a dire dire shame!!

You only ever wish you could be there at the exact same time they first load that enormous holesaw into their drills so you could waft the smelling salts under their deluded noses!!

Obvious I know, but have you asked at Wittners?
Failing that, weld a plate, grind and sand it flat, free of surface imperfections, then get a proper paint job done on it by a professional paint sprayer who can match the colour and give it the desired "hammered" finish.

The logo artwork I believe, can easily be replicated in this day and age.

I doubt it would be easy to ever find a spare part for this particular item. Very few later models seem to have found their way entirely to the scrap bin yet thankfully.

You may find a cheap and nasty earlier model who's paintwork leaves much to be desired, however this would still leave your friend with considerable expense to have it painted to the later colour and then have the correct for model logos placed onto it.

Now that the lamphouse cover has such free moving air..maybe your friend should go all the way and do a HTI conversion? Theres never too much light for Super 8! [Smile]

HID would be the way to go now Alan and then a large computer fan wouldn't be needed.
I always thought this was the only downside to Beaulieu's remodelling of the stereo 708 when creating the HTI model.
Even the originals lose face imo by having the fan bolted onto the side of the lamp house cover.

Or just put a new fan in there and run it for extra cooling. And to plug the hole.

Hi Alan and Steven, he has already an HTI, but this one he would want the original state.

It was always going to be your best bet even if not your friends cheapest option! [Wink]
