[Eek!]

I would actually like to find a 16MM copy of "The Life and TImes of Grizzly Adams" but it would have to be pristine and a low fade copy, of course, with no scratching.

... and, even more doubtful, a 35MM print of the feature! (the film was actually shot on 16MM and it was blown up to 35MM).

This obsession of yours will only be cured by the acquisition of one or both.

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR QUEST , OSI !

If I ever run across a 35MM print in my warehouse , you'll be the first to know !

That would be cool, and thank you for looking out for me! [Smile]

... as, probably the best looking print would be a 35MM as, they "blew up" the original 16MM to 35MM which would mean there was no "reel loss" of image quality, but any reduction from a 35MM original would be at least a slight loss, whether to 16MM from 35MM OR even more to a asuper 8 optical feature!

Now, I am ASSUMING that there are 35MM copies of it out there, as, when it was originally released, there were 35MM trailers (as I used to have one for this feature), so I am assuming that when it went out in general release, it was 35MM.

Baker ... you are awesome.

You know what would be really funny, (and this DOES happen) ...

The 35MM print might be as much or less than the 16MM.

I do know that there were quite a few low fade prints of this title. I actually had one, at one time, but I was quite sad to see, upon getting it, that it was badly scratched, (I mean, badly GREEN scratched!).

Sadly, unless there was a theatrical reissue at some point that required new prints to be struck, there would likely be no low-fade 35mm. But the 16mm rental market might have demanded a few.

Curious the discrepancy between Osi's understanding it was shot on 16mm and IMDB's assertion it was 35mm anamorphic.

We're cheering you on, Osi, and hope you eventually find this!!!

I have read somewhere that, while it was released on 35MM, the raw footage was shot on 16MM. I read that somewhere on the internet. I wish i could find that info.

At any rate thanks for cheering me on! [Smile]
