Hi got a spares only elmo for sale I recently bought if anyone is interested. It has a nice running motor but is a bit rough overall so I`ll list the issues and see if its still any use to someone else for spares.

Optical sound only version.

Big issue with the take up, not just jumping a bit but totally gone stuck etc.

When in forward the front spindle turns froward too quite fast. Too fast, will throw film off, though sometimes its OK just still with tension so may sort.

The bulb is on constantly the machine is switched on at the wall, so you can`t thread it etc with the bulb in or stop the projector with film in etc.

No lens

Signs of issues with the rollers going, I have seen worse but don`t count on them to use.

The exicter lamp is on but the main amp doesn`t do anything, can be dry joints but seems a bit more gone than that usually does on them.

The front gate has some pitting and the sound drum maybe too.

The lens plate cover is missing too.

Obviously you can`t really use it so there may be other issues etc and it does smoke a bit from somewhere. Possibly bulb related, now taken out.

£20 plus carriage sound OK ? or any use.

If your a bit skint just carriage will do. I could be talked in to going halves too on the carriage if in a similar situation to me re cash if its a help.

Selling would be handy though.

Best Mark.

Bump, must be worth some very small outlay at least to someone.

We PAID £55 posted from a dealer knowing about the take up and that he would keep the lens, but apart from that was told it was OK !!! as my son and I had intended to make a good machine from it. Ahem !!!

Shame, but thats how it goes in cine. Might help someone I hope.

Best Mark.
