Hello all, this chap has purchased our old sekonic std 8 cine camera and has paid the buying price but not the P+P.
Having checked everything my end the invoice sent was for the full amount however, having sent three e- mails to him with no replies i find it all a bit odd, i dont want to go thru the resolution centre to contact him unless i really have to,after all he does have 100% on his feedback, apart from refunding him and relisting the item. Hopefully he may be away for a week.

Hi Tom, does this buyer live nearby and intend to pick the item up? Otherwise it is quite concerning as under normal circumstances the postage would be included as part of the checkout procedure and the buyer would have to purposely adjust or omit the postage amount.
ebay does have a procedure to nulify the auction if the two parties cannot agree postage, but I appreciate this is not a route you want to go down

I never knew that buyer can modify the invoice. Usually what appears in the invoice will have to be paid full amount otherwise it will not go through. Can you explain more Tom?

Are you selling anything else on Ebay he might be bidding then asking for combined postage.
Did he put anything in the Message part of the payment notification.

With close on 1000 deals on the bay,I can tell you that this is not a rare occurance,I've have overseas winning bidders pay just £1.00 P&P,these are chancers in my book,my advice is to refund the buyer, explain that they have to pay the correct P&P send them another invoice,if they dont pay go to resolution and report the buyer.

Tommy, i think thats what i'll do, to be honest he's not replied to three e mails i send within four days so therefore that for me is the way to go, the invoice i sent definatly had the £15 P+P on it as you can see from my listing,

Why not do a second chance offer to the £15 bidder, you can make up the £1 loss by using a better carrier.
I'm using http://www.collectplus.co.uk/ these days.
