I am looking for advice or help.

I am keen on the following ebay item:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/B-W-Matrix-801-HOOD-/121000628721?pt=Vintage_Electronics_R2&hash=item1c2c3311f1

However, the seller will not ship international.
He is in Los Angeles I believe.
I am in Australia.

Is there a reliable service that someone can recommend?
Or, is there a member who would be happy to buy and onforward to me in Australia? Ideally you would be in Los Angeles.

Regards,
Rob

Well I'm allways reluctant to sell outside of UK, and I note many US sellers do not ship outside US, it might be due to being very expensive to ship from there.
Regarding this listing and way it done does not attract me with its lack of description information.
Also his Feedback percentage and the problems.
Your choice to buy or not, but if it were me I would wait for another item that you are after to appear.

david as someone who used to sell things on ebay to overseas, the problem is that these days the only way to track materials is to mail USPS express mail, or UPS/FEDEX which are extremely expensive...Usually the buyers will state they don't want to pay those high prices (and I don't blame them) so you try to work with them and then without tracking they state they never get the items, and ebay/paypal make you refund the full amount so you are left out an item, and the money....I think many sellers have reached the point of frustration that it is not worth it, if the bad is going to outweigh the good....i PM'd Robert and said i would be happy to purchase and ship, but never heard back from him..

I can't understand this Dino,as in the past, I've bought stuff from
abroad that was shipped by post, not a private shipping company
but the items had still to be signed for as proof of delivery, I smell
a scam somewhere and of course it is the seller/buyer that suffers.
The only occasions I have never received a package is because
it was never sent in the first place, are you reading this Mr David DeFalco, Mr David Haupt and Mr Gary Watson.

The seller's location is Metairie, Lousisiana (LA) in the deep south, not here on the left coast.

Do we have anyone near Lousiana?

There are too many lazy buyers in this world.

On all my listings, I always leave it open for all buyers around the globe. I have a stand point that anyone has the right to buy my items. However they need to be aware that shipping is very expensive. As long as he/she is ready to pay then why not?

To give an idea for buyers how much is the shipping cost, I always provide my listing with shipping calculator from Canada Post website. Therefore I always weight my item and give the dimension so buyer can get the exact cost.

But many buyers are too lazy and took this for granted and when the invoice is sent they just simply say "why the shipping is outregous?", "it's too expensive", "it is not economical for me buying from Canada" etc, etc as if I did not provide the shipping info.

The worst buyers are leaving the unpaid invoice and giving me trouble to re-list it.

This is the problem but I will keep leaving my listing worlwide until now.

That's a good point Winbert,I'm new to ebay,but if it's a film I'm
interested in and it's coming from overseas,I know that the cost
of shipping will be expensive plus customs, so unless I unless I
jump on a 'plane to pick it up myself,I realise someone has to be
paid to ferry it across.I can't understand why some purchasers
are not at one with this arrangement.
