It's not just you! http://ebay.co.uk looks down from here.

Anyone else have problems?

Yes, I had problem signing in... had to change password... and strange things are still happening

I've just tried it now, and everything seems okay, it could be
it was a temporary problem due to weather etc. I did suffer a
couple of times last year, about this time, with bids not being
acknowledged, and that was UK.

Ebay keeps on refusing to let me sign in, says either my ID or my password is incorrect.
I clicked on Customer Support and eventually found "We're making some updates and will be back soon".
I am also having problems with PayPal, are the two sites somehow linked?

Noticed that the log on screen is not the UK one, its the USA version.

Looks like they have major problems.

Just had the same problem Maurice, thought it was just me, kept saying my password was wrong.

It's like losing a good friend, however temporary.

Mine was the same as you (trying to tell me I'm senile?). Yes, Ebay and Paypal are now co-owned.

One minute you can get onto the site, then when you try to navigate it goes screwy, then when you try again, you can't even get on. I know that ebay does maintenance on Friday's, but this feels like something else, are thay trying to be hacked at a sensitive time, who knows!

I'll wait till later and try again.

Quite so, Barry. That's exactly what's happening to me.

May I also add my condolences for the sad loss of your dog.

Ebay is up and running again, at least it was 2 mins ago. I was watching a Specto 9.5mm projector that still had 5 days to go, but the seller took it off the listings.

Maurice,

Thank you, so kind!

Ebay seems to be working better, but I'm having difficulty paying for items now, it's not Friday the 13th in disguise!

I've managed to pay for an item, so hopefully everything is now OK.

6am Eastern Time was 11am British Summer Time, so it sounds as if it was a major problem for eBay.
Just checked British eBay at 3.45 BST and all now seems OK once again.
