Last night I was viewing for the 2nd time a short (100ft) film made by the Dawn Trust, Aylesbury, England. They made and hired out religious films. This one, of which I can find no details, was of a choir singing Handel's Hallelujah Chorus. What I spotted that I had missed first time was, one of the members of the congregation was British actor Eric Portman (1901-1969). I first noticed him when he took his seat, and the camera came back later and stayed on him.

I don't know whether he was invited to appear in the film, or just happened to be there during the filming. The film or his appearance is not listed on IMDB.

One Sunday morning during the 70s, when a church service was being televised from Piccadilly, London, I saw actor Barry Morse and his wife in the congregation. Barry Morse was best known for his role in the original Fugitive, which starred David Jannsen.
