The British Film Institute has found a lost Oswald the Rabbit cartoon from 1928.

Walt's "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" films were distributed by Universal. Walt later learned that Universal now owned the name of Oswald.
A quick re-drawing of the rabbit introduced Mickey Mouse who has never looked back.
Later, Walter Lantz, at Universal, carried on with issues of Oswald cartoons, many available on Castle Films, and latterly from Universal 8.

At least it was in a safe place, the NFT archive. People are wondering as to why it wasn't known about more if it was on their on-line catalogue all the time.
