Hi all,
I got my Pathescope Gem 9.5mm projector fixed my my brother-in-law that I won earlier this year.
It ran beautifully in his workshop.
Tonight I thought I'd give it a run and to my surprise the sprocket on it is for a 16mm film whereas the spool holders, rollers, film guide and gate are all for 9.5mm.
What's that all about?
Any thoughts on how I can get the correct sprocket? Or could I somehow use a sprocket from any 9.5mm dead film projector?
Cheers from New Zealand [Smile]

Are you sure it is a 16mm sprocket?
It looks like a 9.5mm sprocket to me, although the photo is none too clear.
If there is a single row of pins in the centre of the sprocket that will indicate that it is for 9.5mm.

Hi Maurice,
I can see that the pic makes it look like it lines up perfectly, but it doesn't.
However I have received advice that may help me and I will find out on my next day off.
The sprocket is in 3 pieces once the end bolt is removed then all I have to do is put the metal teeth part in the centre instead on the outside part.
Fingers crossed

Too easy but only because of help from this forum and Terry..I undid nut, removed teeth part, turned both plastic reels around to let the teeth poke out beyond plastic and put metal teeth part between them, redid bolt and good to go! [Smile]
