I've been trying to digitise my own 8mm films (plus a few 9.5mm and 16mm) for a few years now. I think I've tried all the various methods. Here is a video I put together to show at my filmmaking club https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXCpPuPKKbM&t=
I think I've had the most success with 9.5mm

but hoping to make a breakthrough in quality soon.

Eric
The 9.5mm you feature appear to be for use with toy projectors. See Grahame Newnham's article.

Thanks Maurice. That is most interesting. My first projector, probably at about age 10, was given to me by my grandfather and it included those three films. Looking down the list I realise that the rest of my films are included on the list. I know I have The Train Crash and Charge of the Light Brigade. They all came in their little cardboard boxes. The projector (I'm not sure if I still have it in the loft somewhere) was the Pathe Imp.I've just Googled it and it has also popped up under Grahame's colours.

Grahame's website is a wealth of 9.5mm information.
It's such a pity that due to his illness he hasn't been active for some time, including his interesting items for sale which he has discontinued for the present.

I'm sorry to hear about Grahame's illness. I did speak to him at probably the 2016 Harpenden 9.5mm event. I haven't been able to get to the last two unfortunately.
