A tribute to America's fighting men. Jerry builds a Cat-Raid shelter in the basement. Tom stands no chance with Jerry in charge. He finally gets attached to a firework type rocket and proceeds skywards as the rocket explodes into fireworks and the American flag. Jerry salutes and sends a communique to headquarters "Send more cats", signed Lt Jerry Mouse.
The cartoon was awarded a 1943 Oscar for Best Animated Short.
The colour in this print has a slight fade which results in the highlight areas being almost washed out. But it does not diminish the enjoyment.
