Hi everybody!

I need suggestions as to what would be a good splicer to get.
I am using a Kalart 8-Sup8-16 right now. I missed out on the Maire-Hancok on Ebay last week. I've had a M-H before only it had Super 8 capability also. I do prefer cement splices, but I will also need a tape splicer for the color film. Any suggestions greatly appreceiated.

Obviously the M-H 816s is the choice for cement splices and they keep turing up on ebay. Often misidentified you can get a good deal on the super8 version.

Ciro makes a Super8 tape splicer that is a little brother of the popular 16mm version.

Of course cement won't work with estar or the like, it only will work for acetate film. I used to like the AGFA since it scraped both sides and removed the stripe as well making for a strong splice.
