This is my first post. It's always nice to find a bunch of 8mm freaks (and I mean that in a good way of course).

A friend and I recently completed Sleep Always, a feature on widescreen super 8 ("super-duper 8"). We shot with a Nikon R10 and a Canon 814XLS and we did our own telecine with a GS1200 and a Canon XL1. We shot on the now-discontinued Ektachrome 7240, a much-hated stock but we like it. We edited on Final Cut Pro and mastered onto DigiBeta. DVD's are pressed from a glass master. More info at: www.friendlyfirefilms.ca

Hopefully I'll have something to contribute to this forum. Otherwise this will turn into a shameless plug for my movie.

Cheers,
Rick

If you haven't done so already you should also post your thread on the 8mm film makers forum. You'll find the link on the Super 8 Links page of www.bfcc.biz if necessary.
