Dear Friends,

Do you happen to know where I can find and order a xenon replacement bulb for GS 1200 ? I don't think I can find one in France where I live.

I also have another query for my old halogen GS 1200. The axle on the front arm where you put the reel is loose which brings about a buckled rotation of the reel. Is there something inside the arm that can be tigthened up ?

Thank you very much for your advice.

Have a nice week

Jean-Philippe Rolland

You have to ask information to Steven Sigel (a member of this forum).
Here two topics from him:

My pleasure. I think we're the only two French members here, so English is the language of choice...

You'll find that this is a very friendly community. Most problems are solved thanks to the presence of resident experts such as Ugo (Signore Elmo), Kevin (Mister Elmo) and many others...

You can get the clone at www.sqpuv.com or contact Dennis J.Losco at DenJr@sqpuv.com.I believe they go for around $205.00 US dollars.

When you call Superior tell then that you need the
SX-2502. It may take then 4-6 weeks to make one for you, but they work great.

Steve, How does the light output and col temp compare to the original Elmo lamps?

Hi Kevin --

I haven't seen the GS Lamp - only the 16-CL lamp (which should be the same) -- with the 16mm lamp, it looks identical - I don't notice any differnce. Remember, I sent them an "official" lamp of each kind to clone, so I'm sure they measured everything.

BTW - Kevin, email me directly at sts@sigel.net when you have a chance, got an off-topic question for you

Hi all,

This is my first post to the 8mm forum, but I have been reading a lot in the past week. I've just bought an Elso GS1200 Xenon to upgrade from the standard version.

I have been following the threads regrading the replacement lamps for this machine. I have just received a reply to my email to Superior.

They do have an SX2502 in stock but the price is now $370, which seems quite an increase over the original $220.

Postage to the UK will be a further $40-$60.

Clive

That brings the price nearer to £200. Why the increase I wonder?

Kev.
