Hi, I live in Manassas, Va. and work in D.c. I used to be able to get a few supplies through Ritz Camera. They would order things for me, but it's been several years and I doubt that source is available anymore. I get most of my supplies by ordering from the Big Reel Ads or from Ebay or from folks on this and the 16mm forum. I also go to the Syracuse Cinefest every march ( except this year) and the Columbus Cinevent on Memorial Day weekend. there you can usually buy films, projectors, lenses, bulbs , you name it...not to mentions tons of films.

Hi Neigbors!

I can still get kodachrome super 8 raw stock from Penn Camera on 9th and E Street, NW in DC. I will check with them to see if they have any splicing supplies. Also, check with Bono Film in Arlington, Virginia. They specialize in super 8 Ektachrome sales and processing, and film transfers, so I would think that they probably have splicing tape for sale. They have a web site and thier phone number is 703-243-0800. Very nice and professional staff at BONO.

There are numerous mail order places to get these things from Ian, so if you don't have any luck locally, post on this subject again and we will list plenty of places to get supplies.

It's good to know of people in my area that are in the super 8 hobby. There are also many in the New York City area. Who knows, maybe we can all get together sometime like our friends across the pond! [Smile]

By the way, do you guys just collect, or just shoot, or both. I have always been more of a collector, but have recently picked up a little more interest in shooting as well.

Nick.

I'm going and try to make the Syracuse show again - I probably have seen many of you guys there - OLDEN CAMERA in new York still carries a nice selection of projectors in both 16 and 8, Dual-8 too I think - Reels, cans and in some cases, sealed films - 200' cartoons and the such (Super/Std 8) - Not many like that around anymore - keep in touch everyone - Shorty
