Another one I thought of while writing up the topic about syncing films and DVDs...

Can an Elmo GS-1200 accept full-size 1600ft. reels (13.75" diameter) on the take-up side?

Haven't tried it but I doubt it.

Unfortunately the answer is no to that question Jan.

Jan

I seem to recall Chris Quinn telling me that Dave Locke did a conversion to his machine to allow this.

Sadly Chris has been captured by the DVD aliens so may not be able to shed any further light on the mod. [Frown]

Hehe... Well, I was just curious if owners of Elmo GS-1200 machines (without modifications) would have any use for my Goldberg 1600ft. reels. I do know they fit on the take-up side of ST-1200 projectors, but didn't want to advertise them as "suitable for GS-1200s" if that turned out to be untrue. [Cool]
