Another one I thought of while writing up the topic about syncing films and DVDs...
Can an Elmo GS-1200 accept full-size 1600ft. reels (13.75" diameter) on the take-up side?

Haven't tried it but I doubt it.

Unfortunately the answer is no to that question Jan.

Jan
I seem to recall Chris Quinn telling me that Dave Locke did a conversion to his machine to allow this.
Sadly Chris has been captured by the DVD aliens so may not be able to shed any further light on the mod.

Hehe... Well, I was just curious if owners of Elmo GS-1200 machines (without modifications) would have any use for my Goldberg 1600ft. reels. I do know they fit on the take-up side of ST-1200 projectors, but didn't want to advertise them as "suitable for GS-1200s" if that turned out to be untrue.
