I just found in Ebay that Star Wars IV three parter iss available too. URL: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1476&item=640483639 7&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
What I knew before was two parter from Ken Films or Marketing Film (which is actually only total 600"). The tree parter that people always mentioned was the combination between the 2 Marketings + Ken's.

But this italian made was trully three parter with their own title "Guerre Stellari". I believe this is not the pirate copy like what Italian always did, since it came in the jewel case and professional packing.

Can anybody here tell me the print and sound quality, as well as the storyline with this tree parter?

Any possibility that the Italian company also released the Empire Strikes Back on three parter too?

GBP 22.99 for this tree parter is not bad, hah?

Thanks

Winbert,

This italian three parter is NOT longer as the Ken and Marketing mixed together. The italian version is a 3 x 60 m digest (3 x 200 feet reels).

Dear Andreas,
I just found in Ebay Italy proves that Star Wars IV on three parter (3 x 120) DOES exist. Please open this site http://cgi.ebay.it/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1476&item=6407645997&rd=1

Any comment?

or can some one who speak Italian ask questions to the seller?

Thanks

No é una edizioni di 3 x 120 m metri ... [Big Grin]

"Montato su tre bobine da 360 metri" means that the film is
mounted on three 360 m reels (three 1200 feet reels)
or in german: "montiert auf drei 360 m Spulen".

the seller writes also about that the print (stampa) has
brown (marron) colors. Seems that this is a uncut pirate print.

Again 3 x 400 Star Wars (but ..now Return of Jedi) appears in Ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63821&item=6409268312& rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
It has a buy it now option but I want to get people's opinion first. Is this 3 x 400 really available?

Have anybody here seen it and what is the quality?

Based in the seller's other items seem that he knows about super 8mm, so the description should be made by at least some knowledge, not by the newbies who is trying to grab other people's money.

Yeah, that's the same exact link I posted here today (or was it yesterday), too. In fact, now I can't find my post so I suspect either Kevin or Doug deleted it since the link is here now. [Smile]

But I, too, was surprised to find a 3x400' of Star Wars VI ... and as far as I can tell it seems genuine. Definitely let's see what Andreas has to say to this one. [Eek!]

Jan,

Your post remains where you first placed it, in the "8mm films for sale/trade/wanted" section.

Okay......I had checked it out earlier (according to the counter I was the third person to look at it on eBay). I let it go for a while, but I was intrigued enough to buy it and check it out before a non-forum member picked it up and then we'd never find out! I apologize if I beat anyone here to the punch. When it arrives, I'll write all about it.

Thanks Douglas for your voluntarary action. Please when you send the report don't forget to attach the picture, so we can understand what does he mean with "Good is good". But, accrding to his other items description, he fully understands what does "faded" mean.

Good luck!

Again! now, Star Wars V (Empire Strikes Back) on 3 x 400 (or 320m) that I found in Ebay German http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=108241&item=6408581571&rd=1

It was very nice if we had these Star Wars trilogy on three parters. It will save money for someone like me, when the reels will cover almost the whole story.

I am more interested to collect 8mm on three parter rather than the full feature because of that reason. So....luckly people in German because it is relatively easy to get three parter, especially those from Marketing and UFA which come with very nice packing. Unfortunatelly, I don't speak Germany.

Hi Winbert,

"Empire strikes back" was never released as a three parter in Germany. Only 2 x 400 and one original german thearical trailer.
All these prints were made in USA. Because of the high number of prints, the U.S. Lab made german titles.
The german UFA-Artwork was also used outside germany. Instead of the UFA-Logo is "Color Sound" printed in.

I think the seller don´t know what he(?) sells. Perhaps the seller is desperate ähhhh I mean notionless housewife.
