It has been well known that during the Super 8 era, Star Wars episode 4 were available in Super 8, i.e two parter from Ken Films, two parter from Marketing Films (but 1 x 400 and 1 x 200) and two parter From UFA (2 x 400).

But so far I have managed to get from the internet 6 parter in Italy (despite each is 200 feet), where they came in different artworks. Here they are:

Artworks 1
 -

Artworks 2
 -

Artworks 3
 -

Artworks 4
 -

Artworks 5
 -

Artworks 6
 -

Having seen the Artworks it can be said that they are all from Episode 4. So how many part were actually released in Italy. And were there also Episode 5 and 6 relesed in this country.

I was thinking to splice all 6 together into 1200" reel and enjoy long movie of Star Wars.

Or did I make a wrong analyze on the picture. Any comment from members from Italy?

regards,

Winbert, it would be nice if you could compare the content of these to the other packages.
Check out this thread about Ken and Marketing releases.

Nice collectable boxes... [Big Grin]

From the 1982-83 IE International Catalogue, I read that
"Guerre stellari" was released in four parts, each 200' in length (actually less due to striping), entitled:
"La cattura dell'astronave" (part code No. Q-56) Seizure of the Starship
"Messaggio dallo spazio" (part code No. Q-57) A message from Space
"La liberazione di Leia" (part code No. Q-58) Leia's Liberation
"Battaglia spaziale" (part code No. Q-59) Battle in the Space

In general they are not of good quality colour wise. Also master cleanliness sometimes suffer from a dirty negative.

I think you might be better off buying the German version.

Hope this helps.

Maurizio, if so, what about the other 2 artworks? It came from Episode 4 too, didn't it?

I was so eager with this topic since it had been discussed at previous post (Please open this old post.) and it ended with the conclution that there WAS NO 1200" (3 x 400 or 6 x 200) Star Wars. But now, seems that it was wrong....

Andreas do you remember this debate before?

Cheers,
