Hello everybody,
I'm Fred from Belgium (Flanders)
About two years ago I re-discovered my old 8mm films.
From the beginning I had the idea to transfer them to digital....
So I made a transfer unit.(nothing commercial, just for fun)
You find it here:

Sorry, Dutch only..
But many frames on the 'film frames' page.
Enjoy it!
Fred.

Yes a warm welcome and I have to say that the film frame shots look very good indeed.
Like Andreas I too wish I could understand Dutch as I'm sure that would make very interesting reading.

Welcome Fred! What an awesome website... a very interesting read. Being a native German I do understand a little bit of Dutch, however for the rest of us there's always http://babelfish.altavista.com/ If you go there, you can put in the link to Fred's website, choose "Dutch to English" and off you go. Worked great for me!

Thank you all for appreciating my work!
To make things clear: I used the webcam first, but now I use a 1024x768 machine vision cam. All frames and clips on my site are made with this cam, then reduced in size.
I'm still working on it. I need a better lens and must do some more backlight tests.
As you see, after 40 years, Agfa is fading out... Fuji too.
This process can be slowed down with a coat of Vitafilm.
Kodachrome is the best on the long run.
Fred.
PS: how do I track my topic, here?

I don't think there is a way to track a topic, but you can do one of two things: either just visit all the new posts since your last visit everytime you come to this forum, or (gasp!) simply bookmark the topic in your browser.
