MMMMMMMMMMMHHHHHHHHHH
what a strange price for this print. For all who really interested in this film I think it is better to contact Derann. The film is still available new (I mean) and sometimes there will be used prints in the second hand list from Derann for 100 to 130 £.
Perhaps the print on ebay is printed on pure platinum?????
Greetings Ralf Hoff

Is this really a Super8-print? If I didn't overread anything, the seller only stated "8mm". Hence the print could be a standard-8 one, too?!

Actually, since he hasn't seen it and it's in a Niles box, isn't it more likely to be the silent version ? Could be quite a disappointment for the buyer.

If it's actually a Niles print, there's no way it's the MGM film. It's probably the 1925 Larry Semon silent version, which will REALLY piss off anyone who buys it! Niles offered only dupey public domain stuff.

For this price it should arrive in a limo!
I have a Niles "Cattle Queen of Montana" which I got dirt cheap off E-bay because the seller admitted it was faded. After watching it a few times I've reached the conclusion it was a pretty bad print in the first place. When they fade in and out of scenes there are a couple of milliseconds where the color is actually pretty good. If this was shot in my camera I'd call it "overexposed" more than "faded".
(S'ok! I actually enjoy the story.)

Kev, I know this is the wrong area of the forum, but I could not resist one last post.
I contacted the seller to inform him that he unfortunately does not have an ultra rare copy & you could buy it new & second hand quite easily & less than $400 US dollars.
This was his reply............
"I caught a fish that was 100 feet long... Seems your an expert and keep your comments to yourself... If you noticed, no one in over 5 years ever offered this on ebay... Hope your self esteem got a boast since you seem to know everything... Get a life and for other ebay sellers, keep your unwanted comments to yourself... Why not post your copy then if you think you know and have it all yourself... I the president of the united states and click your heals together Dorothy and say 3 times that you wish you were in Kansas (or the US in your case)..."
Nice man obviously not a fan of English humour.
Before anyone asks......yes I did reply
