Hi. I'm looking for help with three projectors. The first is a Sankyo S700. This is currently running fast- I've checked the voltage and it's set to 240V. I estimate that it's running around 26fps. Any thoughts about what could be causing this would be greatly appreciated. The second problem is trying to locate a bulb for a Eumig P8- 12V 100W TYP.7238 N/05. The third is locating a spare nylon roller for a Eumig 610D. The missing part is located at the front of the threading part of the projector. I only need one (i.e half of the film path) guide. I can supply a photograph of this part if necessary. Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated. Happy to pay whatever to make these projectors happy again. I can be contacted at stuarthilliker@hotmail.com. Best wishes. Stu

Hello Stuart and welcome to the forum!

With the Sankyo, there are two suggestions I can make:

Firstly, check the voltage setting on the transformer is set for 230v or 240v and if it has a setting for hertz, make sure that is set at 50 and not 60.

Secondly, I'm pretty sure that there are two pots on the circuit board in this projector for regulating the two speeds; 18 & 24 fps. In the Sankyo 800 they are mounted side by side on a seperate board which is fixed to the sound board. It's worth having a look to see if you can spot them, but be careful not to adjust anthing if you aren't certain it is the speed pot, and if you do adjust anything make sure it's with a properly insulated screwdriver and that the metal part of it doesn't touch the chassis whilst it's in the pot!

I have a Sankyo 700 in the loft, if you don't manage to locate the speed adjustment I'll get mine down and have a look for you.

Hope that helps with the Sankyo at least.

Mike

Whilst watching Karloff tonight on the Sankyo 700 i suddenly realised that he sounded rather squeaky, obviously the projector was running slightly fast.

Thanks to this post i located the 2 pots together and by chance i chose the right pot on my first go.

Karloff is now back to his old self.

Many thanks to Mike for his knowledge [Cool]
