Hello Brian

Can't help you with the splicer I'm afraid, but you'll find that people still use the stripers and if you're not going to use them yourself it might be worth advertising them on here, or filmshooting.com or ebay.

I have a Rexette striper that I bought form Tom Photiou some time ago, they are nice machines and it is still possible to buy the stripe for them. Some people (myself included [Roll Eyes] ) still film lip sync movies on super 8 using double system sound recording and then post striping the films.

Our resident stripe expert was Tim Christian, but I haven't seen him post for a while...

Hello Brian, I have one of these Eumig Chemo splicers,a special cement was required for it supplied by Eumig. The idea of the splicer was OK ( butt joint) but I found that the splices did not last. I do not know if the cement is still available and if it would work on the type of film used know. Alex
