Hello everyone, my motorized dual 8 editor´s bulb burnt out the other day and it does´nt say anyware what bulb it used, does anyone know how may volts and watts this editor´s bulb need to be. Thanks?

Most of the S8 editors I used had 15 watt pygmy bulbs in them.

Hmm, I need some more information, all I know that the part number is 70810, and the model is baia Instaview 120 but I need the voltage and the watt of the buln so I can replace it.

Hi Pablo,

It sounds like a special bulb, as a matter of fact when I fooled around with the number it came up associated with "Baia". So either it is custom for them, or labeled with their part number(-no luck with a cross-reference).

If you can find a family of bulbs of identical geometry, your best bet is to measure the bulb voltage the editor supplies and go for the closest rated bulb, perhaps the next one lower. Hopefully the measured voltage will sink down a little bit under load and you'll wind up right where you need to be.

Barring that, maybe you should think about grabbing at least one of the bulbs I found above. They sound discontinued and perhaps rare.

If the pictures match what you have in the editor, 4 bulbs will last as long as you need them to. Besides, the pictures have electrical information.

The label in the auction pictures says "1129 lamp" this comes up as "6.4V 2.63A" (that’s 17 Watts, give or take a little) , apparently it's an old automotive bulb (back before cars became 12V, or maybe a motorcycle bulb). Maybe if you can find this bulb you can replace the one in the holder. The only hitch there is the thing is described as "pre-focused", so hopefully you would get it back in the holder adjusted correctly. I guess it protrudes through a mirror and the filament has to fall in the right place.
