Are there any GB/US dvd-releases with digest versions as bonus to the feature?

Could you clarify what your asking? I'm not quite sure what the question is?
Sincerely,
OSI

Andreas,
I picked up a Japanese import field sequential 3-D DVD of "The Creature From The Black Lagoon" and it included Castle's "Revenge of the Creature" digest (not in 3d!).

This so totally awesome!!! This could very well re-vitalize Super 8 in some ways. I wonder what the image quality of these prints are like.
The reason why I ask, is I remember on the "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World" it had, along with the original 35MM ads, it also had the 16MM TV ads. I was struck by the low quality of the 16MM ads. The transfer to laserdisc was not good at all on these 16MM transfers.

Anthropophagous: The Beast AKA The Grim Reaper was also released in Germany with the super 8mm version as an extra/bonus!!

It would all depend upon the transfer AND the condition of the print they used.
Most people are pleasantly suprised when they see one of my optical sound super 8's on the big screen! Let us not forget the modern Derann and CHC prints as well.
... all of which put DVD to shame.
... okay class, everybody now , 1..2..3!
DVD sucks major ...(@$#%&*!!!!)

Hi,
there are some German DVDs starring Dieter Hallervorden that contains the Super8-version as well, e.g.
"Ach du lieber Harry" contains the 45min-two-parter-Super8-version of the film as a "bonus"/extra.
Some other DVDs starring Dieter Hallervorden like "Alles im Eimer" and "Didi - Der Untermieter (Limitierte Box)" contain Super8-footage shot between the takes.

Andreas,
Could you tell us how does the transfer look like? Good or bad?
And how do you think the transferred it? by scanning frame per frame or taking from the screen?
thanks,

Hi Winbert,
I haven't seen the DVDs, but Germany has got dozens of telecine-companies that can do extremly good Super8-transfers using Rank-, Bosch- or MWA-Nova-devices. Hence I doubt that they used inferior transfers.

Joerg,
Perhaps they used the finest of transfer devices, but not the best super 8 films for thier transfers?
