Does anyone know what was the best ever selling Derann Disney feature of all time. Also what is your five best features of Disney's ever made.

Robert,

I would imagine it would either be "Beauty & The Beast" or "The Lion King" that would be Derann's best seller. You'd have thought "Snow White" would be, but Derek told me that their were quite a few good quality "IMPORTED" prints, if you know what I mean, that although it sold well, it never did as good as the 2 mentioned above.

I absolutely agree with Barry... partially!
I have seen almost all Derann Disney features and I should say that The Beauty and The Beast is absolutely exceptional, for colors, sound and image steadiness. A really masterpiece!!!

Instead I don't agree about Lion King because imho many others are really better than this (e.g. Aladdin and Pinocchio just to mention any).

Flavio,

I agree with you, but the question was what was the best selling Disney features, and "The Lion King" was most probably the best selling 8mm print.

Looking back at at FFTC mag issue 26 Nov 1993 the release of "Beauty and the Beast" at that time was one of there most popular titles, later in issue 32 1995 was "The lion King" which also was also hugely popular, it was stated in the magazine and I quote "That the head of Rank Labs in Denham was so impressed with the 8mm print of Disney's "The Lion King", that it is now being used as an example for future clients to see just how well 8mm performs on the big screen", although that does not answer the question which film was the best selling it does show the popularity of those films at that time.

I bought both "Beauty", and the "The Lion King" new from Derann at the time of there release and the quality was so good that its impossible and probably unfair to try to compare them as the prints were and still are outstanding films, only two weeks ago I watched Beauty, with the projector now modified with a two bladed shutter and 250 watt Osram lamp, [Cool] watching it simply blew me away, I should add I will never part with them.
