I have just bought an Elmo SP Hi - Deluxe dual gauge projector. To replace the current dual gauge projector i have which is a Elmo K -100.

Can anyone tell me the difference between these two machines. I assume the Elmo SP - Deluxe is more Superior. As i had notice that the K - 100 has only one tooth sprocket. Does the Elmo SP have two?

Hi I was the start bidder on this of the 3, great machine with the top lens for the price.
They are probably the best dual gauge machine on the go by a margin, quiet, kind to film and the film path is so much better than the later elmos like the VP and K series. The proper dedicated switching sprockets etc. I think they are two claw as well. And yes two sprockets per gauge so 4 in total. They just move in and out with a lever when switching gauges which also adapts the gate too.
Also the 150 lamp is smashing, your films will look great on this and travel in style safely.

Thanks for that great information as i plan to use this to show some of my dad's old home movies that he has not seen in a very long while. Sounds like the best 8mm silent projector you can buy on the market these days.

I also have a large collection of Collectors club films which i have not shown in years.

Just did not know what one to buy as you have so much choice in the Elmo range of projectors.

Yes you have a craker there, try a search on ebay for a bulb reasonably, its surprising what pops up from time to time, you can get them easily enough, I think about £15 new too.
Stuart Hoare who advertsises bulbs for sale on here if you look through, may even have one or two.
Enjoy your films, should be great fun.
