Along with seeing the original studio logos before a feature (and not the updated modern versions which they are often replaced with on the DVD), I think it’s pretty neat when the original censor's card is retained before the feature.

I know from past posts that both Die Hard 2 and End of Days include it; does anyone know of any others?

I was hoping that perhaps Halloween or Alien had the original BBFC ‘X’ rating and Thunderball the original 'A' rating.

I imagine that Super-8 films sourced from a 35mm positive are more likely to retain it.

I know that my Alien feature has the ratings card on it, (Derann Scope release), I'm not sure if the others do. I note that these british releases have that to them, which I also like.

I also like when a super 8 feature will even have the original leader to them, especially the older classics, with the, for instance, "Mr. Bug Goes To Town, reel two" type stuff.

Some of Derann's 8reel versions of the 'Carry On..' releases carried certs, as did 'The Quatermas Xperiment and a number of the 'Look At Life' series.
Derek Simmonds was asked about the lack of certs on most releases, he explained that it all depended where the master material was sourced.

Do you know who produced that print, Mark? I love the ‘H’ for Horrific rating! I heard that the new UK DVD of Kong included it and was going to buy it just for that reason.

Hi Christopher,I think Andrews right about the Derann release of King Kong,my copy is the 4 x 400 foot print and came spooled up as 2 x 800ft without the original boxes so can't be 100 %.It often comes up on ebay so you may get one fairly easily best Mark

If I recall correctly 'Halloween' carries the 'X' certificate title card. I'll be watching it in a few days time of course so remind me if I forget to post.
