There have been several Elmo ST-180 E projectors listed on eBay lately that say it is regular 8mm rather than Super 8. Is this accurate or just a mistake in the listing?

they very real, very rare, and they are very expensive! [Smile] and they cannot play a Standard 8 sound film, so you are better off with a eumig or an old bell and howell standard 8 sound machine.

I can never understand why on earth they go for so much, surely theres a limit to how much std 8 film anyone wants to put onto DVD etc and stacks of nice cheap std 8 machines virtually free by comparison.
Best Mark.
PS are they that rare Eric they seem to pop up on ebay quite a lot.

well you got a point there, but the St180e was one of elmos worst projectors. Even the super 8 ones sell for more than they should.
