I see a Bauer T-183 DUAL Sound projector on Ebay. It apparently uses a capstan drive so a rubber roller drives the film through the path. Looking at prior posts.... Is this not truly a dual machine being that the sound-to-picture ratio is different in standard-8 versus super-8? In other words, am I wasting my time thinking I'll be able to effectively show both formats without a hitch?

Brad

If it's any help, I have the Movie Maker Test Report for the T-183 scanned, I could send it to you by email.

Let me know...

Hi, never tested the sound seperation side of the 183, pretty sure the sound to piccy ratio is out. Proper claw transports film thru the gate, no top sprocket drive. Great machine, yep i have one:), quite rare to find aswell.

Brad, I have a T180 and the standard 8 sound is off. T183 is basically the same machine with dual track capacity and faster lens.
