I found myself doing a double take recently at a local cancer charity shop. On the shelf was this 1949 Walt Disney "beloved classic" on video. I cannot ever recall seeing this film as a young boy and the lady in the shop told me she had never heard of it? Anyhow I did watch it and it is a charming Disney film with mixed live/animation starring a very young Burl Ives singing the Academy Award nomination song "Lavender Blue". Has it ever been released on super 8?
