This guy may be worth watching for you 8mm collectors. He seems to have acquired a large collection:

I noticed this the other day. But its another one of these "Aquired a large film collection but cant project them myself". So you have to take a chance on everything that you are certain of the filmstock used. Looks like a 3x400ft MGM version of Ben Hur which may be very faded (dosent say).

Nice clean reel and case so Film may also be in good condition. Looking forward to his other items, worth watching out for.

Yes its a bit of a lottery with sellers who can't project the print - but, sometimes if the price is ok you have to take a chance.

I'll be keeping an eye out for any 16mm he may have.

Of course, I have not seen it, but it appears that the Ben Hur print is the flat version and, if so, it may have decent color.

Others could back me up on this, but the flat version of the 3X400ft Ben Hur tended to be printed on a better film stock.

I did note, however, that the shipping to america is a little steeper than usual.

I've just asked him about his colour [Eek!] version of 42nd Street!

He certainly appears to have come across this stuff from a genuine collector.

Hey, gee, Stewart, wasn't 42nd street a B/W film to begin with?

The seller IS kind of funny, eh?
