Can anyone shed any light on the Elmo GP-8? Whilst reading a review of a new (then) Elmo Super 8 projector in a 1983 "Movie Maker" review, the reviewer says:-

"...........this super 8 sound projector is aimed to sell at a budget price [£201] alongside the GP-8, which Elmo see as their top super 8 sound model both on price and performance."

And yet, three years earlier, in March 1980, they were reviewing the GS-1200, this model I have always assumed was their top-end model.

So where did the GP-8 come in? Or was it just a slip of the type-setter?

There was no response to my posting, so I have been "google-ing".

It appears that the Movie Maker reviewer was quite wrong with his statement. The Elmo GP-8 is a silent dual-gauge projector.
