8mm multiple projection technical question 1:

I am an artist and am making a work with super 8 film – it is a double projection using two super 8 projectors running the same piece of footage through both projectors

The first projector is running forward and the second projector is running in reverse

I have had some problems maintaining the tension of the loop and I wondered if any one know of a projector that might be good from attempting this –

One of the projectors needs to be good at running in reverse over long periods of time

Any suggestions or thoughts about this would be greatly appreciated

Best wishes

Elizabeth

Interesting idea! The problem is having projectors that run at the same speed. One thing is to have projectors that are the same model and have some speed fine adjustment, like Eumigs where a dial moves the drive across a clutch slightly. The other thing is running the motors from the same transformer, or another modern transformer.

Thinking about it, if they are backing on to each other you would only need machines like Eumig 800 series ( I think ) with the inching knob at the back then you physically bolt together those. They would have to run together.
