Just got this projector today and I'm ready to try out a film on. Only problem is that I don't know how to get a movie running on this beauty. If any of you happen to have this model and can shed some light on this, let me know!

Hello Vanessa!

I assume you do not have a manual for this model? I had done some work on one of these projectors for a friend and I believe this unit is sprocketless. It is autoload so there should be a slot just below the feed reel (your movie). Make sure you have the film selector on SUPER 8...not REG 8, and gently push the end of the film in the slot with the unit on and the reels turning and it should feed thru the machine to the take up reel.
I hope this makes sense and can help.

Bill

Hi Bill thanks for responding! I have the projector and when I turn it on, the motor runs but the reels don't turn? I read somewhere online that the reels don't turn until you load it properly. (Found it, read it here:http://www.motorhomemagazine.com/forums/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/21536540.cfm) There is a slot that says "Load" if this is the slot you are taking about. I tried loading it there, and nothing seems to be working. I'm not sure if this projector has a problem or if I'm not loading it correctly! I plan on taking pictures and video of the projector in action, so you can see what I mean. So far though, that seems to be what I'm struggling with. I hope I can figure it out soon. I have several reels I have yet to watch on this projector.

Hi Vanessa,

It's very likely there are belts inside your projector that have decayed and broken in storage, so the motor turns but it's not connected to anything.

If you take the back cover off you should be able to see the belts.

We'll take it from there.

Hi Steven, this might be the case. I wonder where these belts are! I hope I can locate them.

Usually there are two or three screws recessed in the back cover (opposite side from the spindles.)

If you plug this number into E-bay search, you will find the belts:350150096705

This seller has a good reputation among the people here.

Awesome. Thanks, I wouldn't doubt it if this is the case.

Hello Vanessa!

I hope your able to get your machine running. Getting to the belt on that unit is a little bit tricky as its the front cover (behind the spindles) that has to be removed. If you need help please post.

Thanks Steve for your input!

Yup I do! I was thinking it shouldn't be hard, I pulled out the cover underneath the spindle where those buttons are, and I saw the lightbulb for the lamp but I'm already noticing that I can't see the belt anywhere! I think I'll need a screw driver for this!

Vanessa,

If you're still having problems, there are quite a few Forum folks in the NYC area that could take a look at the projector. Feel free to send me an e-mail by clicking on the mail link.

Someday we'll have that east coast convention!

Doug I sent you an email! I hope you respond to me! I was given some advice by family to have someone look at my projector. If you know anyone who can help I'll personally look into their services.

Bill,

I took a look at the M67 and unfortunately, the motor is the problem. There's no rotation of the main drive shaft.

Doug

Thanks for the update about the projector. I was wondering. That's to bad, hopefully she's able to get something going.
