I've just had a print in of this title, I think it's a musical extract from an RKO musical, but I can't remember exactly which one, can anyone let me know.

Good to hear from you Barry!

What actors are in it? That might help. Abbott and COstello did a mexican themed film.

Well it's in colour, and it starts with a woman sitting daydreaming, and then it goes into a dream sequence where she is singing in what looks like a native American village?

I thought it might be Debbie Reynolds, but with a Black wig on, it's hard to tell, and the extract has no original titles, so no help there.

As this is a Mountain release I'm 90% sure it's an RKO production, but they did make a few musicals, any help would be appreciated, as I do like to give a hint with my descriptions of a film, instead of just saying it looks like a 50's musical.

There is an American Indian song and dance routine in "The Girl Most Likely" which Mountain released as a 4X400 footer so it's probably from that.

Paul.

Thanks everyone, it is indeed "The Girl Most Likely", as I recognised the American Indian Village sequence from the trailer.

Martin,

As I've never watched the 400' the whole way through, I would imagine as the reel must run about 16 minutes there may be one or more musical numbers in it, and I suppose there is a Mexican number on the reel, but as I have virtually no knowledge of this film, I am speculating here, surely at least one of the Forum must have this reel in their collection?
