Hello everyone, I'm new here as my next question will probably tell you

Are any avilable?
Just a thought

Hi Anthony, and welcome.
I haven't heard of any collectors doing this for their own satisfaction but there are one or two known instances of 8mm digests being included as extras on DVD releases - hopefully someone can remember a title. I also think I've seen someone offering a DVD on eBay featuring various Universal horror digests, but I haven't checked whether they are 200' and/or 400' versions.

I actually have a couple of my 8mm silents home transferred to DVD so I could watch them on my laptop when I'm travelling on business.
Once I'm home It's projection or nothing!

Hi Anthony, welcome to the forum.
I have transfered many digests to my computer but only for retracking purposes, as a template to re-edit the original film and recreate proper soundtracks. But I haven't kept them (just the final edit work with the digital track).

Hi Anthony. There is an E-Bay seller in the U.S who's trading name is "jdhs 115" who sells "Ken" and "Castle" 200ft digests on DVD. There are usually about 11 titles per disc.
I have never purchased any of these and therefore cannot comment on the quality - perhaps one of our American colleagues may be able to help on that point.
Try a seach on E-Bay U.S. under "Find 8mm in Film".

The European DVD release of DIE SCHLANGENGRUBE UND DAS PENDEL contains two 8mm digests as extras.

About 6 years ago I bought off Ebay a VHS tape of several Castle digests. It was actually done very nicely using 16mm prints. There is a web site (you'll have to Google it) that sells DVDs of the Castle digests. If I find it, I'll post a link here.

The German "Ach Du lieber Harry"-DVD contains the Super8-digest as bonus:

The German "Hügel der blutigen Stiefel"-DVD-set contains the Super8-digest as bonus:

There have been some more German DVDs with the Super8-digest as bonus (sometimes only when you buy the "deluxe box set"), e.g. "Caprona", "Der 6. Kontinent", "Yongary" or "Planet der Vampire".

P.S.: Here's the old thread with some more titles:
