Hi

I wish to purchase a silent dual 8mm movie projector. A Eumig Mark S 810 D Silent Dual 8mm Movie Projector has been offered on ebay here in Australia. Does anyone have any information on this model of silent movie projector? A manual maybe?

Hi David,and welcome to the Forum.
Here in the UK the Eumig Mark 810D is a Dual Guage SOUND projector,I've never heard of a Silent version of this model.
There is a Eumig 610D Dual guage Silent projector,and this is an excellent projector.Hope this helps.

Thanks for your input and the ebay seller also has a Eumig Mark S 810 D sound projector, however he also has this Eumig Mark S 810 D Silent Dual 8mm projector. The photos on ebay show similar looking machines however they have different controls.

Hi David,
Perhaps there was a Silent version made,but was never available in the UK.There were three versions here,Mark S810(Super 8mm only)Mark S 810D (Dual Guage) Mark S 810 D LUX(Dual Guage)all these were Sound projectors and at the time of their release were one of the better makes available.

There is no silent 810D. It's either a Mark S or a 610D

Hi to the posters on this thread.
The projectors you speak of for sale on ebay are both mine so I better clear up any misunderstanding about what they are.
Both are genuine Eumig 810d machines but on 1 of them, the movie sound is not working. The 2nd 810d has full sound operation.
Both have the extra sprockets & gates for reg 8.
There is also an Mark S810 which is straight super 8.
All of these 3 are great machines & I have fully serviced them personally. All have new lamps fitted.

Thank you all for clearing up my confusion regarding the what I thought was a SILENT Eumig S810D projector. I have only joined this forum in the last few days and I am confused by all the different brands and models and prices on ebay.

Hi David,this range of Eumigs were manufactured in 1974,the HQS a year later 1975.
