Well, after several months (years?) of storage I thought that GS1200 I had, should wake up and get to work once more. I normally use the Braun visacustic 2000 because it's smaller, lighter, etc.
So the GS took it's place and I loaded my first film...An unpleasant surprise: The FPS aren't what they are supposed to be:
In 18FPS setting, the real FPS is about 15-16, same for the 24FPS...What caused this? I remember it was working perfectly before put to storage...Is it an easy fix?
Second question: I bought a Cresta GS interface from Ebay. The problem is: I don't know how to use it! I remember someone here has it, maybe he has the manual too...(Was it you Kevin?)...or maybe there is a movie maker review or something?
Thanks in advance
George

Hi George
I would suggest applying some graphite grease with a wooden skewer directly onto the intermittant claw mechanism. Get the grease carefully smeared into the groove which the claw peg runs in. Its easy to do but apply sparingly. Theres a lot of friction ocurring there and it will slow the machine down if its too dry. Grease goes hard & dries with time.
This could explain why it ran fine before you stored it.
Kevin may know of anything else which may give similar symptoms but try that until we hear from him and let us know if it restores your correct running speeds.
