Hello, everybody and I am happy to meet you.
I am in a great need for some help in refurbishing a vintage 8 mm. projector completely taken apar and, above that, with a lot of parts missing.
Make: AGFA
Tipe Movector 8
Year 1939 (I guess)
Untill now I got alomost everything except the connections scheme.
If there is anybody who can help me on that I would be gratefull.
The point is that there is a certain film with me age 3 (this was very long time ago...)the only motion picture was ever tooken on me and I want to roll-it and capture that on digital.
Many thanks in advance to all that they would think to help.
Gabriel

Welcome to the forum Gabriel,
Im sure one of the members will be able to help you out with a little bit more infromation.
As a thought there are plenty of Cine to DVD transfer companies that will be able to convet your home movie if the projector is un fixable.
Regards

Hi Gabriel,
Do you have a picture of the Agfa?
I have an Agfa 8mm Movecta in my collection.
Here is a few pics of it. One is with the back off, so you can see some wiring.
Is yours similar?

Many thanks.
Nope, is not.
The one you just added the pictures, I think is Super 8.
Beside the switching between 110 Volts and 220 V is made through a trafo.
On the one I try to put toghether ther is a resistance that carries out the extra-voltage.
Is much older than that, completely black (kind of fancy according to my taste)
How can I add some pictures?
Is there any chance do add these directly to the forum?
P.S. In Romania ( You know...the small country in eastern Europe next to Black Sea, Dracula,...Nadia Comaneci)there is no company doing transfer from 8 mm motion film. I tryed even at a local documentary production company. They are only working on 16 mm.

Ok Gabriel,
If its not like the one I pictured, which is Standard 8, then is it anything like the one pictured below.??
Also an Agfa Movector but older & this 1 is 16mm.

Hi Again Gabriel
Wow,
That is a very impressive Agfa machine you have sent me pics of.
I will post them here for the members to see.
I don't know that model at all, so I can't say more until you glve us some details of the parts that you need help with assembling.

Thank you, Frank. Great help.
The pictures are the very close way that the projector should look like after refurbishing.
Shortly I'll be back with some pictures of mine.
