Let's play with a thought here...
You've just recieved a healthy amount of money from a deceased uncle/aunt/grandfather (whatever floats your goat) and through a special deal, you've been given the opportunity of releasing a feature, a 2x400 digest, and a 200' digest of your choice, one of each. You can release whatever you want, one of each size, three different titles. What would you choose?
Personally, it would be (at the moment that is):
200' - Dinner for One (1963)
2x400' - The Princess and the Frog (2009) or Up (2009)
Feature - Up (2009) or The Boondock Saints (1999)

OOh fun..mine would be
200' - Sorrows of the Unfaithful (1910) one of the very few early Griffith/Pickford films where she is very much an adult character. I believe this was released on 16mm prior..
2 x 400' - De Luxe Annie (1918) - The LOC recently restored this Roland West film with Norma Talmadge and it looks gorgeous.
Feature - WINGS (1927)..yeah, yeah it has been released, but with all of my money I would finally finish the restoration, by adding the tints and hand colored sections and have it beautifully scored along with the original sound effects..PLUS I would have it released in a scope format so that it could include the proper magnavision extensions for the aerial fight scenes...It would be glorious and would finally give that film the treatment it deserves, and it would blow peoples minds who are on the fence in terms of silent films....AND maybe then someone might decide to release something, anything new in the way of silent film releases. I wonder when the last one was released?

A FANTASTIC scope edition of REBEL WITHOUT A CAUSE, to start.
And then, as already stated in other posts, RATATOUILLE, Leone's ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA and Tornatore's NUOVO CINEMA PARADISO. All full features. It would be great.

If my imaginary super 8 company could release anything, it would probably be these:
200ft - RONIN (a nice spectacular car chase sequence)
2x400ft - TIM BURTON'S NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Full Feature - IRON MAN or BARRY LYNDON (if I wasn't too bothered about selling many copies).
Problem is I'll have completely changed my mind by tomorrow!

Instead of releasing a two parter, I'd rather get two different titles out, namely:
- Michael Jackon's "Thriller"
- "The Crimson Permanent Assurance" (opening reel from "Monty Python's The Meaning of Life")

I'd love to get ahold of a nice 35MM print of "Dragonslayer" or even better, a 16MM negative, (half the work already, but like, THATS gonna happen), as I would LOVE to do a 600ft scope digest of that film, and you could encapsulate that film well into a dynamite 30 minute release!
The beginning title, the wizard being slain. The servant giving the apprentice the bag of the wizards ashes, perhaps (time permitting) the apprentices battle with the Dragon and Most of the last reel, (the last battle between the "ressurected" wizard and the dragon! AWESOME!).
Now talk about a digest that even Derann probably wouldn't pass up on releasing!

and maybe a 600ft digest of The Water Horse in scope.
