I just got this nice camera and am ready to shoot a reel with it, but am a little purplexed with the light meter settings. I found a manual here: http://www.copweb.be/Zapruder%20Camera.htm and it helps a lot, but the light meter goes only to 40 asa and my film is rated 100day/80in! the view finder had a handy little light that turns yellow when there's enough light, so I can't use that, but the needle still moves and shows an f stop. Can I adjust the value it shows at 40 to get something close to what I need?

Hope this helps .... you need to have an exposure meter - a hand held one, rather than the one on the camera. Your camera running at 16 frames per second has a shutter speed around 1/28th second, so ..... set the camera to operate in manual mode and using an exposure meter set at 100ASA, read off the f stop at 1/30th sec and then set the camera manually to the f stop reading. This will give you the correct exposure for the 100ASA film ....!! Look at page 9 on the manual for setting the f stop. Your camera looks really good, hope you get some great results from it

Well I had rather hoped there'd be a quick and dirty way. I'd looked around my nearby camera shops for them, but I couldn't find anything in my price range when I was able to find one. I guess I'll have to bow to the Ebay gods.

Is there anyway I could configure a digital camera to "emulate" the film?

edit: I actually just tried this on two different digital cameras set to the same settings: 100 asa 1/30 shutter speed, and the two had much different results as far as brightness of the images, so no probably not.

thanks, useful stuff there but I did end up buying a light meter. a gossen luna pro for about 20 bucks at a tag sale. No case, but it came with a spot attachment. The zero screw was busted and when I searched online for info about it I discovered I needed to adjust it for more powerful 1.5v batteries (since they don't make the 1.35s anymore).
