I just picked up my first 1200HD and it came beltless or with out belts if 'beltless' isn't even a word.

anywho, i was wondering if anyone has a picture of the inside of the projector (without the back cover) so i could get a look at where the belts go and how many i'll need. i am not sure if it is 4 or 5 belts.

Terryll,

You will need 4 belts:

1 Upper Take-up Belt
1 Small Motor/Drive Belt
1 Large Motor/Drive Belt
1 Tiny Counter Belt

thanks jon.

you wouldn't happen to have a photo of the opened back of this projector just so i can see the placement of the belts?

Terryll,

The service manual for the ST-1200 can be downloaded from here . Pictures of the similar ST-1200D with belts visible can be found at this site.
Belts are available on eBay .

Terryll,

I just took a couple of pictures of my ST-1200HD and send them to your regular email address.

I hope this helps.

thanks, jon + doug.

i ordered belts last week from ebay, so well see how that goes. i just picked up three elmo projectors from a school - 1200HD, 600D, 800 - and the 1200 & 600 had almost liquid belts, i removed and cleaned then as best i could without a complete disassemble. this is my first time doing this so i may ask for more help.

thanks!!
