Watched the super 8 link. I don't get it? Is that the name of the film or the medium? You bet! Super 8mm is coming back in a big time way! I guarantee it!

its the name of the film, its a tribute to the speilburg films of the 80s, his first feature was shot on super 8 and was called firelight, (i think that was the title) although this was purley as an ameture and not for any connercial release.
this new film is produced by speilburg and directed by JJ Abrams, it appears there is speculation that that its a seqel to cloverfield but this is not the case.
as steven Spielburg is producing it im sure it should be pretty good.
