Does anyone use a Noris 322S? This is the one with "programme cards" which are fitted over the control panel, showing the user where to adjust certain controls for various audio effects. Comments/thoughts?

Only once,the actual 322 ( and odd others similar ) OK but nothing like an elmo etc, they can tend to have a rather waffy frame line and are not so much nice to use if you will as some machines, usually nice and quiet though.
I think odd ones came with a decent lens, the film path on the noris range seem to have a bit of a cheapey feel to them, just my own thoughts of course.
If nice and cheap and little used bobs your uncle though I suppose

I Have a Noris 322-S & think its an excellent machine.

This brand is almost in the Eumig bracket for manufacturing quality. Can do 800' reels & fitted with a "reverse sprung pressure plate". This arrangement gives better consistent sharp focus as it keeps the important printed emulsion side of the film flat against the aperture plate better than the conventional setup which pushes from the other side of the film. The lens holder swings down to open the gate, giving great access to the aperture & gate for cleaning.
Another nice feature is the " auto lamp on" after auto threading is completed.
The lens is a Hi-Fi 1.1 Will Wetzler Zoom & the lamp is 100w Osram Xenophot dichroic. This combination gives a really sharp, bright picture & I would recommend this projector to members here.

I also have the Noris 120. This has the illuminated control panel on the front. Both this and the previously mentioned machine are very good, in terms of both light output and steadiness of the image. I believe the sound output (quoted from the internal speaker) is 6w for the 120, but 12w for the 322S. However, the 120 with the lower rating sounds louder compared to the 322S.
